Sign-ups for this game are partnered.
The partnered sign-up model is to cement the Happily-Ever-After design of the game. Aside from a few noted exceptions, the characters in each pairing will be required to end up together, either engaged or married by the game’s conclusion… but that does not mean characters should refrain from flirting and exploring subplots with characters outside of their pairing before their Happily Ever After takes place.
The ending may be decided, but how your character arrives there is entirely up to you!
Partner Seeker Form
Fill out the Partner Seeker Form above for access to a regularly updated spreadsheet containing other unpartnered prospective players and their respective play preferences!
Attendance at a Partner Matchmaking event is not required to fill out a Partner Seeker Form, nor is a Partner Seeker Form submission required to attend a Partner Matchmaking event.
We encourage all partner seekers to reach out to anyone on the list, independent of matchmaking events, to discuss potential partnering. SGS will not assign partners in the casting process nor facilitate partnering beyond sharing the spreadsheet and hosting online events. The onus of communicating with possible partners falls entirely on the player.
Once you have found your partner, please inform a member of the SGS team so that your submission can be removed from the Partner Seeker spreadsheet.
Matchmaking Events
To help people meet potential partners, we will host two online Partner Matchmaking events in the month before sign-ups open, and another two during the sign-up period. Follow us on the Secret Garden Studios FB page for updates and reminders.
These events are open to partner seekers and already partnered prospective players alike. For those who are interested in discussing possible partnering, there are breakout rooms for private conversation. For the general public, there is a Q&A room where organizers pose ice breaker questions to the group and prospective players can inquire about the game.
Players seeking a partner at these events are asked to submit the Partner Seeker Form, listing their character & playstyle preferences, in advance of the matchmaking events. Even if attendance at the events is not possible, interested players should submit the Partner Seeker Form in order to be added to the online spreadsheet of all partner seekers, so that interested players may reach out to discuss potential partnering.
The partner matchmaking events are to make introductions and start conversations between potential partner matches. While we hope you’ll meet someone you’re excited to play with at one of these events, the ultimate responsibility for reaching out to people and finding a partner lies solely with prospective players. Participating in these events neither obligates not guarantees that you’ll find a partner.
