You are strongly advised to read carefully over the playstyle, meta-techniques & mechanics, character design, and intimacy/violence policies. Prior to sign-up, it is important to consider that:
- The genre of this game is Regency fantasy. It has been designed with minimal attention paid to realism or period authenticity. Abandon all historical accuracy ye who sign up here!
- Having a pre-determined ending with your partner may result in some off-game frustration for players who typically prefer to explore and follow character chemistry and organic connections that develop in-game
- This is a Happily-Ever-After larp. If you lean heavily toward pure tragedy with an unhappy ending, this may not be the larp for you
- However, if you can be satisfied by a tumultuous and heart-wrenching mid-point followed by a happy ending, this is the larp for you!
- 75% of the spots will be assigned by lottery, with the remaining 25% reserved for specific casting by the organising team
Sign-ups will open on June 8th and remain open for one month, closing on July 8th, 2026.
Most of the partner matchmaking process will be coordinated and completed prior to sign-ups opening, with the exception of one final matchmaking event during the sign-up period.
If any spots remain after sign-ups close, we will switch to rolling admissions until all spots are filled. Any applications received after the larp fills up will be added to the waitlist.
Payment and Refund Policy
The ticket price for Dearest Debutante is $950. Lodging, meals (Thursday snack break through Sunday breakfast), and your entry into the larp are all included in this price. Minor props may be provided, but you are responsible for your own costuming and transportation to and from the venue, as well as the cost of any damages incurred as a result of your (or your character’s) actions.
Once the larp is cast, the organizing team will poll interest in renting a bus to transport players from Chicago O’Hare International Airport to the venue and back. This transportation is subject to player interest and not guaranteed. The cost of the bus ticket will be determined by these variables.
You will have the option of paying the full ticket price at once or in three separate monthly installments. Due to billing fees, the total cost of paying in installments will be slightly higher than all at once. Each payment deadline will be spaced roughly one month apart.
The $150 deposit is due by July 31st, 2026, 11:59 PM EDT.

Refunds
You’ll receive a full refund if you cancel within 30 days of the first payment deadline. As such, the refund deadline is September 30th, 2026, 11:59PM EDT. After 30 days, you will be expected to find your own replacement to obtain a refund.
The organizing team will, of course, aid you in the search by contacting waitlist reserves, but the financial responsibility for the ticket and refund fall entirely on the participant.
